Saigon Saints 5 - 4 in Dong Nai

Saints began the 2010/11 season by taking the annual trip to Dong Nai for a friendly. The one hour journey along the highway and then down some rutted tracks were worth it when we finally set eyes on the pitch. Lush!

Great game played in good spirits. Four new additions to the squad were welcomed and Hawkins, Matt, Mark & Hung all settled in very well, with Mark also getting MOM for his display on the left wing.

From 2-1 down after 5mins it looked like it would be a long afternoon, but Saints kept the chins up and rallied to lead 4-2 at the interval having played some great stuff. Loads of chances for both teams as the rain began to pour down making a heavy pitch even heavier.

Damo got the decisive goal in the second half after Luffy dep trai had hit the post following some quick feet on the byline.
